Erik Larsen, P.E.
Erik has over 35 years of experience in the construction, engineering, land use planning, and development industry, over 20 of which as a licensed professional civil engineer. From homeowner land partitions to $100 million+ complexes, he has been involved in every aspect of civil engineering and hundreds of projects throughout the northwest, both urban and rural.
He primarily serves private industry in land use planning and engineering. He has played a crucial role for both private and public clients. He often engages beyond the typical with his skillset: e.g. comprehensive plan changes, complex zoning, litigation assistance, flood studies, earth retaining structures and stone column ground improvements, whatever he might have experience with or skills for.
His typical projects have run the typical gamut: small and large residential subdivisions, RV parks, self-storage, parks and recreation, zoos, schools, churches, hospitals, assisted living, fast food, retail, telecom, medical, grocery stores, office and industrial developments, multifamily townhomes, apartments, and condominiums, and the design of streets and highways.
His formal collegiate education includes civil engineering, architecture, and urban planning and regional development. He additionally specialized in geotechnical, surveying, construction, and transportation planning, but never filed for any masters. He supported his education working in the trades and construction, as carpenter, electrician, mason, HVAC, and precision sheet metal fabrication.
